Students at the Centre for Medieval Studies at the University of Toronto have edited medieval texts since the Centre’s creation in 1963, providing raw material for greater understanding of the Middle Ages. The Collaborative Program for Editing Medieval Texts was created in 2002 to promote the editing of medieval books that have yet to be deciphered, and to provide students with the specific training required to complete this task, not generally available in graduate programs.
