Have you ever wanted to represent the medieval abbreviation for “pro”, the Tironian “et”, or perhaps a long-s–thorn ligature? Junicode, a font designed for the needs of medievalists by Peter Baker of the University of Virginia, is now available in version 0.7, with new support for Runic. I use Junicode almost every day for its angle brackets, which are some of the best available.
